Is it fall yet or are we all just so sick of summer that we’re kicking it off early? I’m not 100 percent sure as I’ve started seeing pumpkin-flavored everything and Halloween decorations here and there, but no Count Chocula cereal yet. On the other hand, a beautiful flurry of emails reminding me about early season blanket sales has already started hitting my inbox, which means it must be getting cold somewhere.
Each email sets off another sleepless night where I wonder if one of the blankets therein will be THE ONE that finally doesn’t rub my pony’s shoulders. My mare has started to get a bit fluffy as the sun starts setting earlier and earlier. She’s also decided to sport some birdcatcher spots this year for some unknown reason.
Body clipping is becoming more and more tempting by the day, though I know it will be more satisfying the longer I wait. Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to spend the next seven hours adding and removing blankets to my online shopping cart and being paralyzed with indecision.
