Good Morning Eventing Nation and welcome to the weekend! I made a deal with myself a couple weeks ago that this year, to counter the holiday weight gain, I would work out every day while I was at home visiting for the week. Somehow I got the idea to try a Bikram yoga class (the kind where you stand on your head in a 105°F room) for the first time on Thanksgiving morning. Boy was that a bad decision. I’m actually pretty good at yoga when I practice it on a regular basis, but that class really did me in. Maybe it had something to do with the sauna-like temperature, or the fact that I’m a little out of shape, or maybe it was because I kept trying to beat the girl next to me (who was much better than me) at holding the hard poses, but when I left the class I had a nauseous feeling that stayed with me most of the day and definitely quashed my Thanksgiving appetite. Anyway, enough of my stories, I hope you had a lovely Thanksgiving, and that you aren’t too tied down by visiting relatives or family obligations to go spend some time outside today and tomorrow visiting your horse(s). It’s supposed to be a beautiful weekend!
