Saturday Morning Links

Good Morning Eventing Nation! Well, it has sure been an exciting past few days here on Eventing Nation, and the weekend is looking to be much the same. John mentioned yesterday that there is one American rider at the Saumur Three Day Event in France this weekend, Elizabeth Halliday. Thanks to a tip from one of our readers, Jane R., we found out more about Liz, and the cool story behind her. Evidently she splits her time between Eventing and professional race car driving, and has made quite a name for herself in both sports. She also freelances as a sports broadcaster, most notably for CBS Sports. How she finds the time to do it all, I have no clue, but the California born-and-raised Halliday is certainly a force to be reckoned with, and we wish her the best of luck this weekend. She currently sits 44th in the Saumur standings after the first day, but a good round from her today could really shake the placings. Be sure to check out Elizabeth’s website here
The Saumur CCI3* cross country begins at 8:30 AM EST, Liz’s ride is scheduled for 9:47 AM.
