If I can’t remember the last time we featured ponies in the SHN Spotlight, then it’s been too long. EN loves pocket rocket eventers and we’ve got a great lineup for you this week. Here are six ponies listed for sale that are looking for their next pint-sized partner.

BEST FIRST PONY – CRICKET – QUICK SALE

Cricket is a 2002 14.2 QH mare who is the total package. She’s taught many young kids (9-12 yrs) the ropes of eventing and inspired them to keep going up the levels. Cricket has placed very competitively in beginner novice events throughout the years, even landing a 5th place finish at Millbrook with an 11 year old aboard. She would make the perfect first event horse for a kid looking to learn from a lower level master. Has paced, fox hunted, and pulls a sled. Goes in a snaffle all 3 phases. Can easily do novice. Soy – Event pony

Soy Tan Bonita is an 11yr old, 14.1 HH Canadian sport pony. No vices, can live in Stall or outside, trailers easy, barefoot. Soy is currently competing at novice level eventing moving up to Training. Free jumps 4ft with room to spare. In Dressage she is competing second level. Soy is very brave forward but not rushy. Great or a small adult but also Kid safe with trainer. Currently competed by an amateur going college. Located in Michigan.

Perfect Move Up Pony!

Daddy Said Yes! Fondly known as “Friday” this pony and his girl have conquered the world! They have done everything from pony club games to show jumping to eventing and dressage. Friday has won the Pony Cup at multiple USDF shows. He consistently turns out clean show jumping rounds and is super safe cross country.

Friday has helped his young rider progress from a D1 to a C1 in the local pony club and they qualified in every discipline they entered for Pony Club Championships (including dressage, show jumping, eventing, and games). He has taught her how to ride boldly cross country, forward to show jumping, and tactfully in dressage. They have fun on bareback farm trail rides and playing around with their pals.

Sadly offered for sale, his girl has unfortunately outgrown him. Friday is plenty talented to go Novice with his next rider if they choose to do so. He is virtually unflappable with no vices – trailer loads great, clips, stands tied, perfect for the farrier, loves his spa days, an easy keeper. Barefoot with no maintenance. Located in Georgia.

WELCOME TO MIAMI; Phenominal novice event pony for sale

Welcome to Miami is a 10 yr old 13.3 Welsh cross pony who has competed very successfully through novice and schooled plenty of training. If you want to get noticed in the show ring this is your guy. Moves like a big time dressage horse, and jumps training level jumps with plenty of room to spare.

His size doesn’t limit his scope. Take him out eventing one weekend and the pony jumpers the next. Scores in the 20’s so expect to be successful in the dressage ring to. Miami is safe and sound and has a great natured attitude. He is sadly outgrown and looking for his next kid. Located in Virginia.

“Cobblestone Roxanne” Wonder Pony

Cobblestone Roxanne is a 10 year old, 14.2, Roan, Connemara. She has top of the line breeding by Canal Laurinston out of Callowfeenish Mairton. Roxy has solid flat work, a ten mover, with automatic lead changes. Roxy is a brave, athletic, jumper with TONS of scope and perfect form. She’s currently being competed successfully at the Beginner Novice level, with a junior rider.

Her most recent run was at the Maryland Starter Trials where she finished third on her dressage score. Last year Roxy hunted a full season, first field with Piedmont and Orange County. Roxy is suitable for an ambitious, young rider to get miles in many different disciplines. Roxy is sadly outgrown. Located in Virginia.
