Let’s go eventing in Tokyo! This weekend, a test event for the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games this fall is taking place, and there is a full cross country course set up winding through parklands in the middle of the city! The equestrian portions of the Asian Games will be held at the site of the Tokyo Olympics, at JRA Equestrian Park. However instead of cross country in a different location, as was the case during the Olympics, a twisting track has been set up on the JRA Equestrian Park property. Poland’s Marcin Konarski is the cross country course designer, and incoming Olympic designer for LA28 Alec Lochore (GBR) will be serving as Technical Delegate.

The Asian Games require an MER at the CCI2*-L level and are run with CCI3*-level dressage and show jumping and CCI2*-L level cross country. The equestrian disciplines will take place September 21 – October 4.
