One Big Thing: Sunday at Badminton

It’s going to be a pretty epic Mother’s Day (happy Mother’s Day to all of our amazing mothers out there, also) as we wind down another spectacular edition of the MARS Badminton CCI5*. We are looking forward to an exciting finale, which could see history made from multiple angles as we rally on ahead to our show jumping conclusion.
Of course, Ros Canter will be the name that’s top of mind for most today as she prepares to jump for a historic third consecutive Badminton victory with the same horse in the once-in-a-generation Lordships Graffalo. After adding nary a penalty to their dressage score of 23.7 on Saturday’s Eric Winter-designed cross country course, Ros and “Walter” will have a somewhat comfortable (if you can use that word in this sport, which really you can’t) margin over second-placed Harry Meade and Annaghmore Valoner (30.3) and third-placed Sarah Bullimore and Corimiro (31.1).
