Kim Severson is the latest US Equestrian Open qualifier winner, taking home the CCI4*-S title at Bouckaert Farm (Georgia) yesterday. She and Cooley Corraghy Diamond (owned by Ros and Bill Johnson) earned a first-phase lead that they never relinquished, ending the weekend with a clear cross country and on a score of 41.3. Allie Knowles continues to shine with her strong string of rising talent, taking the other two podium spots with MBF Starburst (winner of the 2024 USEF/USEA Developing Horse National Championship at Morven Park as a seven-year-old) and LS Crown Royal, both of whom are owned by Katherine O’Brien. We’re likely to see many of these pairs heading to the Open Final at Morven Park (October 8-11).
