Good Morning Eventing Nation! I hope everyone had a great day yesterday and I wish everyone the best on this Sunday. It’s busy as ever on the event scene, here is what’s going on today:
Over in France, the Saumur Three Day Event is on it’s final day. The cross country course proved challenging, only three out of the 54 starters made it home clear and inside the time. In the CCI***, Clayton Fredericks and Bendigo maintain their lead going into the final day. Another Australian rider, Bill Levett, is a close second with One Two Many. Piggy French of Great Britain had one of those three double clear rounds, and she in turn sits in third place. Zara Phillips is fourth with High Kingdom (Mandiba’s brother). Our American contingent is doing fine as well, Elizabeth Halliday moved from 44th place to 23rd going into the show jumping after a fast, clear round yesterday.
The Saumur CCI3* Show Jumping will begin at 8:30 am EST.
With all the excitement in France this weekend, we can’t forgot about the many events taking place in the US.
