We’re entering the final week before what I like to call The Dark Time. Daylight Saving Time ends in just seven days. The extra hour of sleep is nice, but I am really going to miss the few lingering bits of light in the evening. With The Dark Time coming, it is also time to decide if I’m going to do the whole No-Stirrup November routine as well. In years past No-Stirrup November has turned in to “an excuse to screw around and ride bareback for a month and not really accomplish anything” and I suspect that it is likely to do do the same thing this year. It’s been a challenge to make it to the barn after work for the past few months, so I’ve mostly been a weekend warrior. And by that, I mean I’ve been doing a whole lot of “screwing around and not accomplishing anything”. However, now I can screw around and not accomplish anything in a quarter sheet. That makes it different, right?
