#ICYMI: the USEA and the Manton Foundation has announced another generous matching grant to raise funding and awareness for frangible technology on cross country courses all over the U.S. This funding (for this grant, $250,000) is being supplied to match future donations in support of this important program.
To that end, riders like Jon Holling are seeking some creative fundraising ideas to make a big year-end push to ensure this grant doesn’t go to waste! Check out Jon’s post above, and be sure to send him your ideas on how to raise the bar for frangible fences and safety in our sport.

Let’s talk about back pain in horses. Like humans, horses can deal with all sorts of aches and pains, and if their bodies are not managed properly, back pain can manifest in other limbs, as well. In this interview, Dr. Alberto Rullan of Performance Equine Veterinary Services in Ocala, FL, discusses the topic of back pain in horses. Dr. Rullan emphasizes a paradigm shift in recognizing horses susceptibility to primary back pain, supported by sports medicine and emerging research.
