Horse Quencher’s Sunday Morning Links

Valerie Vizcarrondo, and Groom Lara Chance scope out the Pine Top Intermediate course

Good morning Eventing Nation!  If you are not eventing today, hopefully you are enjoying those Sunday Cheerios and cartoons.  If you are eventing today and your name is either Ellen Doughty, Victoria Frey, Karen O’Connor and Mandiba, Hannah Burnett, or Leslie Law, then the pressure is on because you are leading an intermediate division in Ocala going into the XC.  Our very own Samantha Clark has a great report from Saturday at Ocala posted on her blog (see below).  [FHP Live Scores]

Several hundred miles north, Julie Wolfert, Kerry Torrey, Boyd Martin with Remington, and Peter Barry with Kilrodan Abbott lead the four Pine Top intermediate divisions going into the XC.  Tipperary Liadhnan, Cambalda, Fernhill Eagle, Gryffindor, Vaunted, and UN are all also competing in the Pine Top open intermediate divisions.  For many horses, today is the first XC run of the year so the idea will be to just get in a solid round.  [Pine Top Live Scores]

One other note from Saturday is that the USEA’s blog was apparently hacked [Screenshot via SM]  The website was rerouting people to other sites and strange messages appeared on the blog.  The good folks at the USEA appear to have sorted it out, and, as someone who deals with technological challenges on EN all the time, I sympathize with them for having their Saturday ruined by some idiot hacker.  As always, I am left wondering ‘why can’t people just find something better to do with their Saturday than sitting in their basement eating Cheetos and hacking websites?
