The Outside Chance is the only place at Badminton where you can have a bet on who’s going to win, or who might fall off in the water! While you’re there you can have a bite to eat, or relax and watch the action at the Lake with a glass of Pimms, or go inside and watch the racing with a glass of champagne. It’s the brainchild of Freddie Tulloch and a couple of others, and I managed to catch up with Freddie on the morning of cross country to get the latest odds to find out more about it.
Freddie was far too discreet to drop names, but you can rest assured that all the top riders were in there, as well as some that aren’t competing this year. I’m just going back to place a bet, and may have to continue my reporting on site! Thanks for talking to us, Freddie; personally I’d love to see more of theses at all the marquee events, eg Rolex!
