It’s a quiet Thursday afternoon around Eventing Nation. It’s Memorial Day weekend in the USA and there are just 5 USEA events this weekend, which means that this will be one of the quietest weekends of the past few months. Here are a few quick notes we are keeping an eye on around the eventing world today:
A woman driving a horse and carriage was turned away from a McDonald’s as a “health and safety hazard”–Let me just say for the record that deem McDonald’s food to be a considerably larger health and safety hazard than a horse and carriage. Still, it is delicious. The woman simply went across the street to KFC, where she was greeted by employees as their only customer of the day.
UK Jockey Isabel Tompsett, who was seriously injured in a fall on Sunday, is improving
Jessica Phoenix’s Exponential was named the Omega Alpha Horse of the Month for April

Remember, no matter how annoying your Thursday afternoon is at work, it isn’t this bad. An oldie but a goodie:
Boom goes the dynamite.
