Watching the Young Riders championship last weekend made me think about one of the more perplexing issues in eventing and an issue that is close to my heart. Guys are a minority in eventing. By my observations, only one out 40 US eventers at Young Riders was a guy. I haven’t seen hard data, but my guess would be that, on average, 2-5% of the eventing competitors in the US are male. So, I pose the question to Eventing Nation:
Why isn’t eventing more popular amongst guys?
