Great news! All of the adoptable dogs and cats who were on-site at this week’s MARS Maryland 5 Star found loving homes! Thanks to the efforts of local rescue, Wolf Trap Animal Rescue, these very good boys and girls have no more worries. Everyone can always use another barn dog or cat!

Well-respected jumping course designer Alan Wade of Ireland has been tapped as the course designer for the upcoming LA Olympics in 2028. Traditionally, the pure show jumping course designer will also design jumping for the eventing courses at the Olympics. He has designed in Rotterdam (the Netherlands), Istanbul (Turkey), Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates), Lisbon (Portugal) and Rabat (Morocco). Currently the majority of his designs are created for shows in the United States, alongside some in Canada and Mexico. You can read more on the announcement here.

EPM is certainly a scary term, but it’s by no means an automatic death sentence for your horse. At the Retired Racehorse Project’s Thoroughbred Makeover earlier this month, one very special made it to the top 10 of his competitions in both dressage and freestyle. Sibelius is a former racehorse who has taken to dressage with event rider Alison O’Dwyer.
