View: Cross Country Adventure from World Equestrian Brands

This week’s view could also serve as one of my ‘Welcome to Eventing’ posts! Thanks to Melinda for sending us the photo and for doing such a good job of introducing newcomers to Eventing in a fun and educational way. If you’d like to submit your ears photo, please send it along with a paragraph caption describing it to: [email protected].

I had an opportunity to play hooky from work and go school cross-country on a Wednesday, not a normal occurrence in Missouri.  I took two first time horse and rider combinations along with me and my husband surprised me by volunteering to come along as well.  Not only did he give my second horse and nice hack around Longview Horse Park, but he took pictures!  This is the his view from atop Admiral Nelson, my OTTB.  One of the newbies is pictured tackling the BN Tiger Trap.  I’m in the background on Nutmeg.  It was a great day for a schooling even though there was a 70% chance of rain, plus we made two new eventing converts.  GO EVENTING!
