View From My Horse: Windchase Edition from World Equestrian Brands

This week’s view is coming to us from the winter wonderland at Windchase Farm. Windchase is located in Purcellville, Virginia and is home to veteran event rider, Phyllis Dawson. It’s hard to say what Phyllis is most famous for; representing the US at the ’88 Olympics, or her long span as an international competitor, or the successful breeding program she has been running in recent years. Regardless, thanks to Phyllis for submitting, and thank you for reading.

As always, thanks to World Equestrian Brands for sponsoring the ‘view from a horse series.’  Check out the new World Equestrian Brands website for information on their fantastic brands, including Amerigo, Vespucci, Mattes, Equilibrium, and Amerigo Vega.  Today’s link is their retailer locator.

From Phyllis:

Not all Eventers go south for the winter!  A few of us hardy riders stay home and brave the elements.  I don’t mind snow too much as long as I don’t have to shovel 446 tons of it off the indoor arena roof like last February.  Here I am enjoying a winter hack on Drifter last week at my farm, Windchase, in Purcellville, VA.  With snow clinging to each twig, the forest was transformed to a winter wonderland.
