Good morning EN! Tomorrow down in Georgia as the CHC International officially kicks off its CIC3*/2*/1* with vet inspections. The 3* field looks competitive, including Susan Beebe and Wolf, Kyle Carter on Madison Park, Lauren Kieffer on Veronica, Phillip Dutton on two mounts, and Eventing 25 rider Lizzie Snow on Coal Creek. Like other CICs this year, the event will run in the FEI-preferred format of dressage and show jumping on one day (in this case, Friday), followed by a day of cross country. Good luck to all competitors there this weekend, as well as those elsewhere around the country [CHC Website] [Entry Status] [Times]

Andrew Nicholson is back on top at the Chatsworth International Horse Trials. Last weekend he won the CIC3* Challenge feature class with Mr Cruise Control, Advanced Section K on Qwanza, AND the CIC3* Section I with Viscount George. Oliver Townend and Zara Phillips followed him in the CIC3* challenge in second and third place on Imperial Master and High Kingdom, respectively. [Full Results] [British Eventing]

Back in the US, Jessica Phoenix topped the CCI3* at Jersey Fresh. As you probably know from Jenni’s amazing coverage, Jessica and Exponential added only one rail to their dressage score to win the top prize last weekend. Jessica told Nancy Jaffer that Exponential would get a long vacation, and will probably come back into competition in Florida next year. [NJ.com]

British breeders are on the mark this season. British-bred horses won both of the BE90 Badminton Grassroots Championships this spring, as well as the BE100 Championships. Several other horses placed well at FEI events around Europe, and the best performance came from Sarah Bullen’s Borough Pennyz by Cevin Z, who won the a three star at Belton. Today on HN: A bad clinic with George Morris, as interpreted by Wylie. She critiques photos of some less-than-stellar moments in the spirit of his commentary. As you can imagine, it’s highly entertaining. [Horse Nation]

Today we leave you with a helmet cam video of Ben Vogg’s ride on Bellaney Castle from the Marbach CIC3* that ran last week. Thanks for reading EN!
