So it’s no secret we all pretty much dream of waking up as Reed Kessler one morning, complete with a barn full of top horses and an Olympic debut under our belts before turning 20, but unfortunately we do not live in a world where this is possible. Luckily for all of us, over on Horse Nation Wylie is making sure we have enough Reed materials to aid the daydreaming. The above photo was taken at Spruce Meadows, where Reed won the $50,000 Lafarge Cup 1.50m aboard Wolf S earlier this summer. Want to see more photos of Reed winning things with style? HN has you covered.

Zoe Adams won this year’s Amlin Plus Eventing Grand Prix at Hickstead. The Eventing Grand Prix is a special event held yearly at Hickstead that is similar to Indoor Eventing competitions- except in this class eventers ride against show jumpers around a course of show jumps that then opens up to the cross country jumps on the Hickstead property. Zoe rode Satonamillion and added only 5 time penalties to their fast time of 185.66 seconds for the win. The third time was apparently the charm, as Zoe finished seventh in the class in 2011 and fifth in 2012. [Essex County Standard]

Our hearts go out to the family of 16-year-old British eventer Lucinda Woolley, who died after falling from her mount while on a hack at home. According to Lucinda’s mother, the horse was spooked by a tractor and threw Lucinda off. She was airlifted to a hospital and underwent immediate surgery, but died the following day due to serious head injuries. [Express]
