Every great production needs a crew, and starting today, LA28 will begin casting the team powering the world’s largest sporting event. As the two-year countdown to the Games begins, applications are now open for fans from around the world to apply to become one of the up to 60,000 volunteers who will make up the Volunteer Crew for the Games. Leading the charge is 1984 Olympic Gold Medalist Carl Lewis, who has been named an Official Ambassador of the LA28 Volunteer Program.

“I know what it means to compete on the world’s biggest stage, and I know firsthand that the magic of the Olympic Games is not just made by the athletes — it is made by the people who show up to support them,” said Carl Lewis, Official Ambassador of the LA28 Volunteer Program. “Los Angeles has always shown up for me, and now it’s our turn to show up for the world. If you want to be part of something historic, apply today. The role of a lifetime is waiting.”

“In 2028, the world’s attention will be on LA as the world’s best athletes make history, but it’s the crew behind the scenes that help make those moments possible,” said Reynold Hoover, LA28 Chief Executive Officer. “Their impact cannot be overstated — behind every event, every venue and every moment will be the LA28 Volunteer Crew, ready and eager to play a vital role in the delivery of the LA28 Games.”

Roles will be available in eight categories that applicants can express their interest in, including communications, driving, experience, medical, Ceremonies, operations, sport and technology. Some roles will require specialized skills which applicants can indicate within their application, including in areas such as medicine and language translation.

More details on the Games-time volunteer application process, including eligibility requirements, can be found on the LA28 Games-time volunteer portal. Those interested in joining the LA28 Volunteer Crew can visit the LA28 volunteer page to begin their application. Those who have already expressed interest will also receive an email with next steps — though all are welcome to apply regardless of whether they previously registered. While prospective volunteers are encouraged to apply early, there is no preference or priority given to the order in which an application is received. There will be an announcement at least seven days before the application closes to ensure everyone who wants to apply has time to.

Fans can also engage with LA28 by registering for the LA28 Ticket Draw at Tickets.LA28.org.

This is so much more than just a fly spray — it’s an all-natural magic spray that literally does it all. While Equiderma Neem & Aloe Natural Horse Spray does in fact repel flies, ticks, and mosquitos (and does so with a remarkably nicer smell than the average topical spray) it also promotes a healthy, strong, and shiny coat, mane, and tail, all in one. I’ve personally used this as a detangler and conditioner for a horse with a rather difficult-to-manage tail, applied it with a soft brush for a shiny finishing touch, and kept it tied to the stall door of a horse who’d break out in hives if he so much as looked at full-strength shampoo. If that’s not enough to convince you, let the 250+ positive comments speak for themselves — if you can catch it when it’s not sold out.
