My name is Kelsy and my horse Charlie and I recently completed our first recognized event together on August 7th at the Canterdown HT in Belleville Ontario Canada, coming in 4th in the Pre-Entry Senior division.
I’ve been taking riding lessons and leasing horses for the last 15yrs and in September of 2010 made the scary/amazing decision to finally buy my own horse. With a limited budget I had to focus on young horses and thankfully found the Adena Springs Retirement Program. The Adena Springs Program looks to place their retired track horses with forever homes and that is where I found Charlie.
I purchased Charlie as a 4yr old in September 2010 and worked diligently with my coach, Sean Jeknin of SJ Eventing to get him ready to Event. Charlie is extremely laid back and has loved his introduction to Eventing so far. He was absolute star at his first show and I’m excited for many more outings with him.
