Readers of EN are well aware of my epic adventure to obtain a new iPad 2 which started in Tallahassee Florida and ended on Monday of this week at my local Apple Store a month later.
During the last week I have been getting to know my new toy and trying to see if it can completely replace my little netbook.
There are a number of key tasks that are critical to ensuring I can leave the netbook at home when I go to an event.
1. Ability to edit and upload photos. CHECK
2. Ability to edit and upload videos. CHECK
3. Ability to blog direct to Eventing Nation. Well let’s see how this goes.
4. Skype around the world. CHECK
So here it goes.
Last weekend I took my boys to a local festival called “Steamfest” basically steam trains and big boys toys. I shot a quick little video on my pocket camera and edited it on my iPad and uploaded it direct to EN. Here it is.
So videos are possible.
What about spectacular pics of horses on XC or SJ. Well for the purposes of this little experimental post let’s use a pic of the Bugatti Veyron I saw on Rodeo Drive on my way home from Red Hills.
Or this pic of the cool little lizard lazing on a XC fence at Red Hills.
Well this looks like a promising start. We will have to do some more testing before I am 100% confident in leaving the netbook at home but I am impressed.
For those that care I am using a cool piece of software called BlogPress recommended to me by our good friend Patricia from ECOGOLD. Thanks mate.
