Rebecca Howard and Roquefort had 2 time penalties, but the riders close behind them had more time penalties meaning that they will take the lead going in to the show jumping tomorrow, just ahead of Phillip. Click the link below for the latest CCI2* results.

–Other than Samantha’s tumble the course rode really really well. The riders were quite worried about the size of the course but aside from a few minor issues it seems like everyone had a great go of it. The footing is maybe a bit firm and there are a lot of road crossings, but the horses were pulling up well at the box.
–Overall the horses were finishing the course pretty tired and the riders were reporting that the time was very tough to meet, which means that the CCI3* could get pretty competitive.
–I thought the quality of the horses in the 2* was very high–we got to see some really good jumpers. Luna, Ben, and Downtown Harrison had some of the best jumps that I saw of the day.
–The food in the VIP tent was wonderful and I have to give the event a big thanks to the organizers for putting together a great environment for riders and owners alike.
The course change is just wrapping up and of course we need to give a big thanks to the volunteers for making the event possible. I have been around the course now and everyone is very cheerful and enjoying the cool day. Go eventing.
