Ingrid Klimke Leads Burghley 2013: Day 1 Dressage Scores: At the completion of Thursday’s dressage, Ingrid Klimke and FRH Butts Abraxxas lead with a score of 39. Jock Paget and Andreas Dibowski are tied for second with 42, and 2012 winners Andrew Nicholson with Avebury are fourth on 42.3.

Brief Score Update from Burghley at the Day 2 Lunch Break: Oliver Townend and Armada scored 43.7 to crack the top five. Heavy hitters like Jock Paget, William Fox-Pitt and Andrew Nicholson have their final rides after the lunch break.

Sunday
Clifton Lush Not Presented to Burghley Final Horse Inspection – Second after cross-country, Clifton Lush was withdrawn before the jog due to a banged fetlock. Several other horses were withdrawn, and Tom Crisp’s ride Liberal was sadly not accepted. 42 horses moved on to show jumping.
Jock Paget Wins Burghley 2013 with Clifton Promise – In a thrilling day of show jumping that saw many rails fall, Jock Paget and Clifton Promise had two rails in hand and only used one. Kiwis dominated at Burghley this year, including Andrew Nicholson scoring all three of his in the top eight (second with Avebury, third with Nereo). Canadian Rebecca Howard and Riddle Master finished 12th.
