Hawley Bennett-Awad and Gin & Juice have been spectacular this month, winning the Advanced at Twin Rivers two weekends ago and leading the Advanced at Copper Meadows going into today’s show jumping phase. Hawley and Ginny ran double clear in both jumping phases at Twin Rivers to finish on their dressage score of 34.1. Yesterday, the pair added just six time penalties to their 29.4 dressage score to lead the division on a 35.4. I’m excited to see how their season continues to develop! In other news, Colleen Rutledge is on a quest to become the first rider to finish five different CCI4* events on the same horse. To fund her trip to Badminton with Shiraz, she’s holdingĀ a pig roast and open house 1-5 p.m. April 14 at Turnabout Farm in Mt. Airy, Md. Cost is $50 for adults and $10 for kids. Click here for more information. Go Hawley and Colleen!
