Jessie returned to competition in style by taking the dressage lead in the CCI 2* on Pavarotti here at Rebecca Farm. I caught up with her briefly afterwards for a quick chat about her enforced “holiday” and her plans with Exponential leading up to Burghley.
Incredibly, Exponential raced in Canada until he was about seven or eight years old, then retired himself from the track by lying down every time they tried to put the saddle on him! Jessie found him by riding him as a favour for a client, and the rest, as they say, is history. Wishing them both, and Pavarotti, the very best of luck this weekend, and of course at Burghley too.
