Michael Jung and La Biosthetique Sam FBW maintained their lead at the Fontainebleau CIC3* after cross country, putting in one of only six double clear trips of the day. Sandra Auffarth and Opgun Luovo also came home double clear to stay in second place, with Michael and Leopin FST going double clear as well to hold third. From there, the leaderboard saw quite a bit of movement from the post-dressage standings, as Kitty King and Zidane picked up a refusal and time to drop all the way down to 45th. Mark Todd and Regent Lad also had a stop and time to drop to 49th. Rebecca Howard and Riddle Master jumped clear with some time to move up to fifth place.
