EN’s Ultimate Guide to Following the 2025 Pau CCI5*

Let’s do it one more time!

This week the curtain rises on our final CCI5* of a whirlwind 2025 season. This time, we’ll be heading to the south of France (and, apparently, the rainy weather that comes along with this time of year) for the 2025 edition of Les 5 Etoiles de Pau. We’ve got an absolutely full roster of 54 combinations representing 9 nations raring to go, including a strong contingent of U.S. riders and even China represented on the order of go.

Pau runs a bit of a unique schedule, with the First Horse Inspection taking place just before the first groups of dressage on Thursday, October 23. We’ll then have two (well, one and a half) days of dressage, cross country on Saturday and show jumping on Sunday as usual. The weather is looking a bit better than it did in 2024, when we saw several jumps removed from cross country and an all-out miserable downpour/standing water that vastly affected the going on Saturday. While we will have some rain and wind this week, we should be able to proceed as planned with most of the scheduling as it is now.

The Schedule

Pau is located in the Central European Summer Time zone (CEST). We’ll provide times for Eastern (ET) and Pacific (PT) in the U.S. as well as British Summer Time (BST) below.
