A View From My Horse: Colorado Springs from World Equestrian Brands

This week’s ‘view’ is special because it comes to us from Angela Cooney, who will be traveling with the US Eventing Team to the Pan Am Games this fall, serving as both a human and equine massage therapist. Thanks to Angela for submitting, and as always, thank you for reading. If you’d like to submit an ears photo, please send it along with a caption describing it to: [email protected]

From Angela:
This is a view of the well known Pikes Peak in Colorado Springs, CO.  The horse is one of many at a ranch in the area that offers trailrides around the beautiful Garden of the Gods.  His name is Cowboy, a 17.3 hand ”mountain” horse.

I am in Colorado Springs at the Olympic Training Center finishing up some neccessary training in order to accompany the eventing team to the Pan Ams as the massage therapist for the riders and the horses.  Here at the OTC, the Olympic caliber athletes use the local mountains in their training.  Having the opportunity to work with athletes ranging from speedskaters and pentathaletes, to wrestlers and weightlifters has been exciting and educational.  This would not be possible without the support of my local clientele (you know who you are).  So, thank you, and GO EVENTING!!
