 News From Around the Globe:
You wanna know what makes this Preakness more exciting? I actually think the trainer of the Derby winner is a cool guy. First off, his name is Shug, which is pretty much amazing. Secondly, he’s an old style horseman with a really phenomenal athlete on his hands, and is working his magic the real way. [McGaughey’s Throwback Mindset]
If you’re looking for examples of the best of the best OTTB’s in sport, look no further than this. Everyone always says that the Thoroughbred used to reign over all disciplines, Dressage and Hunters included, and we all just say “The sports have changed”. However, I’m willing to bet that any one of these TBs could have cut it even in today’s warmblood saturated competitions. [Classic TB Show Horses]
A wild stallion blinded by fights with other stallions was saved from the turf recently. “Amadeo” was already blind in one eye when he picked a fight with another stallion, and lost his remaining eyesight. Then he was wandering the beach and got sucked into a rip tide, and was only rescued when he somehow found his way back to some footing onshore. [Blind Corolla Stallion]
