Rosie Napravnik Will Be Guest Speaker at Thoroughbreds For All Event

Last year, the New Vocations Racehorse Adoption Program introduced a seminar coinciding with Rolex Kentucky called “Thoroughbreds For All.” The seminar was a rousing success, with guest speakers in 2013 including Bruce Davidson Sr. and Hall of Fame jockey Chris McCarron. This year, New Vocations is once again offering this special program that features commentary on the versatility of the breed.

The guest speaker has just been announced as jockey Rosie Napravnik. Rosie has made quite a name for herself as a female in a male-dominated sport. She became the first female jockey to win the Kentucky Oaks in 2012 and has also broken Julie Krone’s year end earnings record. Rosie has also taken in an OTTB named Sugar to retrain, and you can follow their progress on Rosie’s Facebook page.

Other guest contributors to the event include Linda Zang and Lynn Symansky. The event will be held on April 25 and will include a southern-style dinner and a cash bar. Tickets are $35 and can be purchased here.
