One Big Thing: Australia Tops Strzegom Spring Open CCI4*-S Standings

The leaderboard shuffled after each phase of competition in the Strzegom Spring Open CCI4*-S in Poland this weekend and following Sunday’s cross country action, it’s Australia’s Olivia Barton who took home the win with Carlene Barton’s APH Sodoku, a 10-year-old Australian-bred Warmblood gelding. Olivia and APH Sodoku are a big of a three-ring talent, having competed at the FEI levels of both show jumping and dressage in addition to their eventing career.

APH Sodoku is a product of Olivia’s mother’s boutique breeding program; in fact, Olivia has competed several other homebreds at the top levels and was until recently based with Prue and Oliver Barrett in Australia. She’s now based in Europe with Stateside Farm in Belgium and this latest result marks her second win at the level at Strzegom (she previously won here with her Adelaide podium finisher Hollyander HG in 2025).
