After freezing our wet and muddy butts off on Thursday for the Dressage at The Fork, the weather bloomed and on Sunday it was phenomenal. My cross country ride was little early in the day, so it wasn’t as hot as it got later, but the sunlight made everything gorgeous. I had my trusty helmet-cam along for the ride, and it gives you a pretty good tour of the Advanced cross country. I was really excited to run the course, and although it had five ditches, Nyls was perfect and cruised around with only one blip, which I account totally to my inability to ride up banks. I tried a new calming supplement the morning of, and I am glad to say that he was so much less wild than two weeks ago, but it doesn’t mean the starter can say the count-down! I always ask them to silently count me down, because if you say it out-loud, Nyls goes nuts! Enjoy the ride!
