Will Faudree’s Wednesday News and Notes from Horse Quencher

Will F bday.JPG

Happy Birthday to Will Faudree! Last night, Will and his friends celebrated his birthday in fine form. From the look on Will’s face, it was bound to be a good time. And man, credit to who ever made/created/bought that cake. Yum.

I say it every time I write for Wednesday morning, and I will say it again. I LOVE hump day. Every Sunday, I start looking forward to the next weekend. Getting through Wednesday just makes it seem that much closer. With Boekelo starting, there is going to be great coverage to follow for the rest of the week/weekend. And hopefully with that coverage will come some photo evidence of the much talked about parties. First, we must get through the trot up. We will have those details to you as we know them.

Boekelo schedule

Boekelo entries

Over the weekend, we updated you on recent changes to the USA Boekelo riders. In case you missed the changes, please be sure to check here. Sadly, Allie Slusher and Jules Stiller will not be attending. Michael Pollard will be stepping on to the list with the fantastic, DV8. [Updates]

Speaking of Boekelo, Boyd’s horses, head groom, Lindsay, and Boyd himself have arrived safely. Boyd has given his horses a nice canter as well as had a flat school with Bettina Hoy. It has also been decided that Boyd will ride Remington in the team competition. With the horses looking magnificent, Boyd says there is potential for a “best turn out award” tomorrow! Keep checking back for more Boyd updates. [Martin does Holland

For those of you are big Mr. Ed fans, I come with some good news. Mr. Ed will be taking the big screen. Mr. Ed has been picked up by the same studio who created Flicka. With several “lip moving” techniques, there is no doubt Mr. Ed really will be talking. Go ahead, purchase your advanced tickets. [Mr. Ed goes big]

Matthew Wright has won the Express Eventing Final at HOYS. Wright, who was the favorite leading up to the competition, took home a nice prize of 12,500 pounds. After having one down, Wright jumped a trickier fence to eliminate his 4 points. Wright has won 4 of the 5 Express Eventing competitions. He is hopeful that the Express Eventing will take off for everyone concerned. Alex Hua Tian finished second and Harry Meade third. [Express Eventing

Silva Martin has returned from Dressage at Devon. With 5 wins, 5 second, a fifth, two championships and one reserved champion, I would say they had a fantastic week. According to Silva, the horses couldn’t have tried harder. And to top it all off, student Ashlea, won the best foot forward award for her positive attitude. [DAD]

On Tuesday, you got to see a really cool Normandy Bank video from Visionaire. This awesome video was of rider LucyAnna Westaway. Lucy has some really good EN karma because her mom works for Point Two. EN karma is always good for those moments we really need our horses to show us just how athletic they are!

Molly Rosin reflects on how far she has come in the past year. From a few horses in training, to a few top notch competitors, it has been a good year. A good year made even better by having a new facility to work out of. With a few more events left, Molly will finish off a good season and be looking forward to next year. [Havarah Equestrian
