Today is going to be a long, hot day. It will be fun though – or at least that is what I’m planning on telling myself at 4:30am when my alarm goes off so that I can braid my BFF’s horse while she hooks up the trailer to head on over to Woodland Stallion Station. Today will also be a bit of a novelty. You see, we don’t have a whole lot of one days on the West Coast. Even though I originally hail from Hunter/Jumper land, where multiple rides in a day for multiple days in a row is de rigueur, I find that I’ve gotten rather used to the notion of “Ride Dressage on Friday, then drink heavily prepare for Cross Country”. Better pack an extra Red Bull or five.
