Sweetest girl 💜💙 Izzy tried her heart out today but isn’t feeling quite like her normal, confident self. We are withdrawing from the show jumping tomorrow and will spend some time hacking around the beautiful Kentucky Horse Park and cheering on our friends. While it wasn’t quite what we were dreaming of, I’m really happy to continue on with this incredible mare! I’m really digging all the coverage and social media I’m seeing from the Thoroughbred Makeover. One thing that has been coming across to me from everything I have read is the awe, appreciation, and pride that the trainers have for their steeds – no matter where they are placed within their disciplines. It’s a lot for a racehorse to switch careers in less than a year, and the Makeover truly showcases the OTTB’s trainability, talent, and heart of gold.
