Your eventual CIC3* winners Kristi Nunnink with the fabulous R-Star
Advanced winners Kiyomi Foster and Tasman Sea
Advanced competitors Anne Carr and Safari
CCI** winner Lisa Marie Fergusson show-jumping her advanced horse, Uni Sprite
Nathan Grosse and Ray in the Advanced
Barb Crabo and Over Easy. I think it must have been the combination of perfect weather and the Rebecca Farm vacation atmosphere that brought out the best in the competitors – what a stylish bunch show-casing dresses – I spotted a couple at least with the front to back uneven hemlines, chic hats, super cool accessories, a V-backed dress, skirts and pretty blouses…..all carried off with aplomb.
Aussie cool meets West Coast chic: Bec Braitling and Sam I Am.
What do you need if you want to be a West Coast Eventing secret weapon like Bill Olson? Mad multi-tasking skillz as demonstrated above, and the best iphone photographer bar none. Bill notes: “The one of me on the phone talking to Hawley Bennett cracks me up! She had to know what was happening in the jogs; she was in show jump warm-up.”
Geriann Henderson and Kingslee.

Zach Brandt and Cavallino Cocktail – Zach you owe us a video!
Max Corcoran was not only coaching the Novice/Training Three Day divisions but also helping Zach out, which apparently includes knowing his measurements as I heard him asking her, “Max, what size waist do I have?” when checking out the leather belts! What would we all do without Max?!
Mackenna Shea modeling the U25 jacket. Her lovely novice mare, Bali, is a “dressage reject” and Mackenna is excited to see how far she’ll go eventing.
Tamie Smith and Erin Hoffman
Gina Miles supporting her crew – I caught up with her Saturday evening and she told me she had just had a bit too much bit on the lovely Chanel, and although she felt as if she was compensating for it when she went to set up for the coffin, she said, she just came back a bit sharply and put in en extra stride that wasn’t there. Kristi Nunnink evidently joked with her on Sunday morning that there were still spots available on the vaulting team, so impressive was her dismount! I’m looking forward to seeing them both out again soon.
The California clan are a tightly knit group, it’s been such fun to spend a week with them
Marbles the pink ‘halt cancer at X’ pony.
Congratulations to all the competitors and their supporters, and of course to the Rebecca Farm organising committee and the volunteers – this year’s edition was another huge success and I’m pretty sure we’re all looking forward to next year already. Go Rebecca Farm and Go Eventing!
