By now everyone know who Hamish and Dave are. Their videos from the 2010 WEG were an instant hit. I wanted to start everyone’s day with a funny blog post from Hamish. Hamish is United Kingdom bound to grace British Eventing with his presence. No doubt the English are in for a real treat. I wish I knew Hamish personally. And even more so I wish he would blog every day so I could laugh non-stop. And even more than that, I wish he was my best friend. How is that for three wishes? So get your morning off to a good start check out the beginning of what is no doubt going to be a wild and entertaining journey. Aussie meets England with full force. [Hamish Cargill]

On a completely non horse related note, if any of you are preparing to quit your job, I have a suggestion. Do it on dry erase boards. Thirty-three of them to be exact. When this girl decided it was time to quit, she came up with the most spectacular way of doing it. I am sure at the end of her display her boss got the point. [How to quit your job]
Don’t forget, USPC Championships is underway. Congrats to Morgan Booth and Cameron Creek for such a successful day! And thank you Facebook for sharing that information. For more on what’s happening at Festival, check out this great page.
As we all know, Rebecca Farms has their lovely event this weekend. However, the Young Event Horse classes are well underway. Congratulations to Tamie Smith and Fleecework’s Cinco for their win in the four year old division. The gelding scored a 13.01 out of 15 on conformation and a 29.75 out of 35 in dressage. Big domination for the lovely Holsteiner gelding. In the five year old division, Kelly Prather and Happenstance took the win. [Young Event Horse Winners] [Photo Gallery]

Alexa Ehlers gives us part 2 of her Road to NAJYRC. Alexa sounds like she is having a fantastic time getting ready for NAJYRC including dressing up to attend the Harry Potter premiere. Alexa also spends time with other teammates outside of the barn. Good way to build team spirit! Hopefully the temperatures will cool off for Alexa and the rest of the young riders headed to Kentucky. [Part 2]
Purchase Tent and Party tickets for the AECs 2011. Rumor has it there will be spectacular food! [Click for a good time]
After a successful weekend at Stuart, poor Jennie B. has arrived home to a small fire. Fortunately this fire was in a closed space (utilities compartment in her truck). It appears as if a wire shorted causing the fire. The fire department was called and was able to make sure everything was OK. Thank goodness only clothes were lost. As we all know, fires are never good and I think it is time TPF be given a rest. Congrats to Jennie on a great weekend at Stuart and glad to hear everything in the truck is now safe again. French show jumper Pierre Jonaqueres d’Oriola has passed away at the age of 91. d’Oriola won gold medals for France in the 1952 and 1964 Olympics. Our deepest sympathies go to his family and connections as they remember this wonderful man. [Remembering Pierre]
