A Bloody Mess: The FEI is defending its decision to eliminate Tina Konyot and Calecto V from the World Dressage Masters in Palm Beach for a violation of the so-called “blood rule,” but of course there’s more to the story. [Dressage-News]
A Grim Day at the Track: Public scrutiny of New York’s Aqueduct Racetrack continues to grow after the death of another horse at the track on Sunday. The horse, a 3-year-old named Formal Attire, is the eighth horse to die in 27 days at the track. Last year, 21 horses died in 74 days of racing. [NZ Horse Talk]
