The cute chestnut in this picture is happily showing off the months of behind-the-scenes progress with an OTTB. I’ve been lucky to spend a lot of time with William, who was sourced by Lara Anderson at Full Gallop Farm, and it’s only fitting that he completed his first three-phase there with owner Susan Thomas over the weekend. He’s so sweet and willing, the challenge is getting all those pieces to fit together. Cheers to your OTTBs!

When good ground isn’t an option, that doesn’t mean you have to scratch your cross country schooling plans. Katie Honey says doing a faux school in your arena can help accomplish many of the same goals. [Hard going: how to cross-country school effectively without running on hard ground]
