Tori New & Fleeceworks Mystere du Val
All morning long, rails were plaguing Young Riders in the CCI* show jumping. Clear rounds proved to be hard to come by, and influential in your final placings. Only 8 out of 33 riders were able to pull off a double clear round.
Tori New had a rail in hand going in and after having a vertical down about half-way through, clinched the win with only one down. Second placed Kylie Figueira on Danzig were unfortunately one of the several riders with problems, having four down to drop to 17th place. Third placed Haley Armstrong-Laframboise on Roksolana had two down to drop to 9th place overall.
A double clear round from Hanna Krueger and Pinney North vaulted them up from 6th into silver medal position, and one rail down for Matilda Segal on Guinness X moved them into 3rd place.
The team competition was shaken up a bit by Show Jumping as well, with Area V moving into 1st place, team Ontario dropping to 2nd place, and Area III staying in 3rd place.
