Vote for the Winner of the #TredstepSoloMakeover

We had some really incredible submissions to our first ever Instagram contest this past weekend. We asked you to nominate someone going to Rolex who you felt deserved a show outfit makeover from Tredstep Ireland‘s new Solo Collection. In an effort to make their trip even more memorable, we’re outfitting someone with a Solo Pro Show Coat, Solo Competition Shirt and Solo Competition Breeches.

We received 40 submissions for this contest, and we had an incredibly difficult time selecting our finalists. So now we need your help, EN. We’ve chosen the following five finalists as people who really stand out to us, but we want you to be the deciding factor to choose the winner.

Voting is blocked to prevent multiple votes, so please vote just once and share this post on your social media channels to encourage more votes. Be sure to tag Tredstep Ireland in your posts so they can see your enthusiasm.

This is my sweet, selfless wife. The picture on the left is her at 11, on her first pony, and the picture on the right is from last fall, on her rescue, #flyhighharvey. She is so focused on her students that she hasn’t made time to get herself a new show coat in 19 years. I’d say it’s time for the pleasant surprise of a new show outfit. 2. Katie Eckert, nominated by Kristen Goncharoff:

My dear friend @kaeckert706 deserves to win the #tredstepSoloMakeOver because she hasn’t grown out of the khaki shorts and polo phase. Pony Club has permanently burned this outfit into her wardrobe. 3. Drew Kemerling, nominated by her mother:

I would like to nominate my daughter, Drew Kemerling, for the #TredstepSoloMakeover Drew has been riding since 6, eventing since 10, and has always had a shoestring budget. She has taken on the “free” or project horses that had behavioral issues or no training and competed them successfully all while working 3 jobs and going to school. Recently when it was discovered her heart horse could no longer jump, she opted to change disciplines to accommodate her horse’s needs. She always buys for her horse, rarely for herself, and winning Tredstep gear would be an unbelievable gift!

4. Indra Rapinchuk-Souccar, nominated by Eva Gray:

One of my dearest friends has already had the ride of her life and she’s only 16 years old. Indra has been an inspiration to me ever since I met her, because she has perserved in the face of every obstacle and every fall of her life. Just this past year, Indra lost her old childhood pony, Allegro, and had a tragic accident during cross country at an event this winter in which she lost her best friend Abby: the horse who kept her going for over 4 years. Indra remarkably survived the accident (however she had to be cut out of all her old show clothes) and plans on riding as soon as she recovers from her broken leg and fractured pelvis, among other things. Indra will be at Rolex this year (with her crutches) as the most dedicated horse woman I know. She deserves to win this contest and I hope her story is one that will inspire others to keep going. @goeventing I nominate @indrarowan because this makeover could help her give the fresh start she deserves, and I think it could make her trip to Rolex even more memorable. #TredstepSoloMakeover

5. Vickie, nominated by Instagram user ad_monk:

My dear friend Vickie is ready to get back in the dating scene after 20 years! She needs some serious help (and I am no use as you can see from the photo taken last year at Rolex.) she is the 1st to lend a helping hand, volunteer at events, be my copilot on ill-fated and poorly conceived trips back to the AEC’s, organize jump painting parties at our barn and is an all-round superb person. If you choose her she will rock your outfits (yoga instructor body) and we will all take photos of her and chronicle her fashion journey for the web. #TredstepSoloMakeover

6. Glendon Crain, nominated by Stormy Daniels-Crain:

Gotta nominate my husband @drummerboyglen for the #tredstepsolomakeover from @goeventing He’d never even sat on a horse before we met. Not only did he support my love of eventing but he decided to join me in the insanity. This year will be his first year of recognized shows with his horse Danger Mouse. He even gave up a honeymoon so we could go to Rolex and cheer on our coach Ellen Doughty-Hume. As you can see, he clearly needs some clothes..hehe. Can’t have him riding around half dressed. And I’d really like my helmet and XC vest back.
