We don’t call it Eventing Nation for nothing — love of this crazy sport is a universal language and knows no borders. Check out this scenic glimpse from a recent event at Club Hípico La Caraña in Costa Rica sent to us by Walter Vargas of Prueba Completa Ecuestre.

Your Wednesday News & Notes:

As a 15-year-old, Bridgette Miller was awestruck by Sally Cousin’s five-star veteran Tsunami III. Twelve years later she’s still enamored with the mare, only now she also has the ride on her! Bridgette piloted “Sue,” a  notoriously hot and opinionated OTTB, to her first Advanced completion this past weekend at the MARS Essex Horse Trials. [At 20, Tsunami III Shows No Signs Of Slowing Down]

An article on EN helped Bronwyn Watts find her purpose. The former five-star event groom was in search of her next calling when she scrolled through an article about nurse mares and knew she needed to get involved. Now Bronwyn is running her own business which provides an ethical solution to supplying nurse mares for orphaned or rejected foals. Twin horses aren’t very common. Even less common? The odds of them both going on to become successful event horses and each winning their respective divisions with just 0.2 penalty points separating their scores? Now that’s next-level twinning. [‘Identical’ twin event horses both win on the same day]

The Genesee Valley Hunt Horse Trials has announced they will accept late entries through July 2nd. There will be a $50 late fee for the July 13-14th event, but take you pick at levels from Intro through Modified. [Omnibus]

Attwood Wisdom of the Week:

We post so many pictures of Olympians and champions of all sorts training on our surfaces. It's quite the compliment…
