In her latest “One Minute With Cathy” video, five-star rider/course designer Cathy Wieschhoff shares how to utilize a landing pole to encourage horses to put down their landing gear, so to speak.
She explains, “Many times riders are not comfortable with place rail in front of the jump, but a landing rail 9-11 feet on the landing of a jump will allow the rider to be comfortable in front but not allow the horse to overjump and unseating the rider. This of course is for small jumps!”
