Earlier this month, Italian eventers competed for the top placings at the Italian Championships at Ravenna. It’s always interesting to take a look at cross country courses the world over, and we were able to preview Benoit Marchand’s CIC3* cross country course thanks to Ancce on Facebook.
At the end of the weekend, it was Pietro Roman who secured the win aboard the Irish Sport Horse Barraduff. Pietro scored a 44.4 in the dressage and had one rail down in the show jumping to squeeze out of a tie for first with Karim Florent Laghouag, who had just .6 time penalties too many for a final score of 49.0 and second place. Pietro Sandei and Rubis de Prere rounded out the top three.
