Weekly OTTB Wishlist from Cosequin

With the Retired Racehorse Project Thoroughbred Makeover competition at Kentucky Horse Park last weekend, it’s a great time to be looking ahead to next year’s competition and find a new Thoroughbred partner to take you to that next level.

So, with that in mind, we’ve scoped out some nice looking OTTBs for you to take a look at this week. Don’t forget, if you end up with one of the horses on our Wishlist, we want to hear all about it! Email us at [email protected] to share your story.

Our first horse comes to us from CANTER Mid-Atlantic. Isabella’s Boy (Father NelsonIsabella’s Girl, by Bernstein) is a 4-year-old gelding standing 15.3 hands. He raced 18 times, getting on the board for 10 of those and earning just under $1,500. He last raced in July of this year and is described in his listing as a barn favorite who was retired sound. This guy has a super kind eye and should make for a willing partner for his new owner!

Can you say “Wow”? This handsome guy literally has legs for day and was turf horse in his racing days — eventers pay attention! Uptown Big Brown (Big BrownThrow a Fitz, by Seattle Fitz (ARG)) will be appealing for Big Brown enthusiasts, and he has 19 races on his resume with a little under $2,000 earned. His listing describes him as a great sport potential with lots of stamina, and he definitely won’t last long.

So many nice horses to choose from all the time! It’s so hard to narrow them down to a list of three each week. Our final horse this week is an unnamed 2-year-old gelding by Uncle Mo out of Ten Halos. This is a good-looking, solid horse who seems to have a great brain but, of course, will need some time to mature with his age. He was gelding on May 29th and is now looking for a home in which he can pursue his career!
