We’re back with another edition of By the Numbers, Burghley style. Today’s cross country was definitely up to speed for what has become legend at Burghley, but how does it stack up against last year’s event? We saw several comments on the time being difficult to attain, so we took a look at the completion numbers from last year and did a comparison.
In looking at the numbers, they’re actually much more similar than what it appeared today. While three riders did go double clear last year, with very similar starting numbers for both years (64 in 2014, 60 in 2013), the numbers look to be right on par for this year.
