Luckily, organizations such as CANTER, New Vocations, Recycled Racehorses, and many more are always on alert for new horses that are ready for second careers. Each week, we'll be bringing you a few OTTB ads that caught our eye. Keep an eye out here for your next eventing superstar!
Seeking out ads for ex-racehorses who are ready to move onto their next careers is most definitely not the worst task one could be assigned. What is difficult is not picking up the phone and emptying our savings accounts in order to buy each and every one we find. Willpower at its best!

Our first OTTB this week is Pegasus’ Boy, who is featured on CANTER-Illinois. If you’ve ever followed racing, you’ll recognize the name Fusaichi Pegasus, who won the Kentucky Derby in 2000 and went on to sire this handsome four-year-old.

Next up is a horse from New Vocations named My Friend Wes. Wes is also a four-year-old model, racing nine times before retiring. This one actually took home some prize money as well! What a champ.

Last, but not least, we stumbled across this handsome gelding from CANTER-Pennsylvania who looks like he may have some serious star quality. Retired sound from racing, he looks to have a lot of power in his build.
