Welcome to cross country day at the Jersey Fresh International Three-Day Event! The CCI3* is scheduled to start at 10:45 a.m. EST, with Tamie Smith and Dempsey as the first pair to tackle John Williams’ cross country course. 10:49: We’re just a few minutes from starting. Tamie Smith has the honor of being the pathfinder yet again!

11:01: And we’re off! Tamie and Dempsey are on course.

11:09: Tamie and Dempsey are clear and heading home with four to go.

11:12: Tamie Smith and Dempsey home clear with 12.8 time penalties.

11:16: Will Faudree and Caeleste stormed around with a super clear round and inside the time!

11:17: Waylon Roberts and Bill Owen have retired after the horse hit the jump at fence 23. The fence is being repaired.

11:20: Justine Dutton and Huck Finn are having a clear round so far and have been held at fence 19 while 23 is repaired. Jessica Phoenix and Bentley’s Best are clear through the main arena and are now held at fence 14.

11:29: We’re back underway now.

11:30: Justine Dutton and Huck Finn complete with a clear round and 14 time penalties.

11:34: Jessica Phoenix and Bentley’s Best are home clear and inside the time!

11:35: Phillip Dutton and Mr. Candyman picked up a runout at 9c, a wedge table.

11:41: Phillip has retired Mr. Candyman after a second stop on course at the narrow leg at fence 24b.

11:42: Buck Davidson and No Remorse picked up a runout at the skinny at fence 14b.

11:42: Buck and No Remorse complete with 20 jumping and 20.8 time penalties.

11:50: Werner Geven and Vilas County complete with a clear round and 15.6 time penalties.

11:55: Kyle Carter and FR’s Trust Fund complete with a clear round and 8.8 time penalties.

11:57: April Simmonds has fallen from Impressively Done in the main arena. She is up and ok.

11:59: Kelly Prather and Truly Wiley have completed with a cracking clear round! Five seconds inside the time and our third double clear.

12:04: Boyd Martin and Welcome Shadow are clear through the Jersey Shore and looking super.

12:07: Boyd and Shadow are clear and inside the time to take the early lead! Our fourth double clear.

12:12: Sara Moore and Polaris finish clear with 6 time penalties. They looked super through the Jersey Shore!

12:13: Our overnight leaders Ryan Wood and Powell are on course.

12:15: Colleen Loach and Qorry Blue d’Argouges are home clear and five seconds over.

12:16: Madeline Backus and P.S. Arianna are on course now making their CCI3* debut. They’re clear through the Jersey Shore!

12:19: Madeline Backus and P.S. Arianna home clear with seven time penalties! Super round in their CCI3* debut.

12:21: Diana Burnett and Bonner’s Chief pick up a runout at the corner at 6b. Clear on second attempt.

12:23: Ryan Wood and Powell are home clear with 2.4 time penalties to remain in the lead! Allison Springer and Cascani and Will Faudree and Pfun could both move ahead of them with fast and clear rounds.

12:27: Diana Burnett has retired Bonner’s Cheif after he refused jumping into the Jersey Shore at 17a.

12:28: Lillian Heard and Arundel are home clear with 11 time penalties. Go Spencer!

12:30: Kim Severson and Fernhill Fearless are on course and clear through the Jersey Shore.

12:33: Kristen Buffamoyer and Jim have fallen in the main arena. They are up and ok.

12:35: Kim Severson and Fernhill Fearless are home clear and inside the time!

12:38: Philippa Humphreys has fallen from Rich N Famous at fence 16, a table.

12:40: We are on a hold. Andrea Baxter and Indy 500 are clear through the main arena and have now been held.

12:47: We are being told that the hold will continue for about another 30 minutes as the medical team is with Philippa Humphreys. We will bring you more information as soon as we can.

12:56: We are still under a hold. We will update you just as soon as we have any official information.

1:33: Philippa has been transported off the course in an ambulance to a local hospital. We do not have any updates on her condition at this time. Andrea and Indy 500 will be restarted shortly.

1:48: Andrea Baxter and Indy 500 completed the rest of the course clear and inside the time.

1:56: Adrian Jones and Magnificent Toy complete clear and inside the time.

1:57: Kate Chadderton has retired Collection Pass after a refusal at fence 9.

2: Phillip Dutton and Z are home clear and inside the time.

2:06: Allie Knowles and The Dark Mark picked up a runout at fence 24. She then retired after a stop at fence 26.

2:13: Hallie Coon and Celien complete clear with 16 time penalties.

2:16: Julie Richards and Sandhills Brillaire complete clear with 1.6 time penalties.

2:17: Holly Jacks-Smither has fallen from More Inspiration in the main arena. She is up and ok.

2:19: Lauren Kieffer and Meadowbrook’s Scarlett complete clear and inside the time, the ninth double clear of the division.

2:25: Ronald Zabala-Goetschel and Wundermaske are clear through the Jersey Shore.

2:29: Ronald and Wundermaske are home clear with eight time penalties.

2:32: Caroline Martin and Spring Easy are home clear and inside the time. Our 10th double clear.

2:36: Allison Springer and Cascani fell at 10b, the second corner in the main arena. They are up and ok. We had a brief hold on course and are back underway.

2:40: Will Faudree has retired Pfun after a refusal at fence 9.

2:43: We are receiving word that the second corner in the main arena will be removed from the course for the CIC3* division.

2:45: Jessica Phoenix and Pavarotti are clear through the main arena.

2:52: Jessica Phoenix and Pavarotti are home clear with 15.2 time penalties. Phillip Dutton and Indian Mill are clear through the Jersey Shore.

2:53: Buck Davidson retired Quasar after a runout at 10b, the second corner in the main arena. That corner will be removed for the CIC division.

2:56: Phillip Dutton and Indian Mill are home clear and inside the time. The top three over night with by Ryan Wood and Powell. Boyd Martin and Welcome Shadow and Phillip and Indian Mill are tied for second.

2:57: Tamie Smith and Twizted Syster are the last pair on course in this division.

3:02: Tamie and Twizted Syster are home clear with 8.4 time penalties.

Jersey Fresh released the following statement: “Rider #52, Philippa Humphreys, suffered critical injuries in a fall at fence 16, the table. She has been transported to a local trauma center. We will provide further details as they become available.”
