Team Tredstep rider Lauren Kieffer brought home her first blue ribbon of the new season this weekend at the Ocala Horse Properties Winter I Horse Trials at Florida Horse Park. Thehorsepesterer was on the scene to bring us video footage from the event, including videos of all three phases of Lauren and Czechmate’s winning weekend.
Lauren and Court and Kylie Ramsay’s Czechmate earned a 27.7 in the dressage and accumulated 6.4 time penalties on cross country with a double clear show jumping to finish on a final score of 34.1 to win the Open Intermediate. Lauren had to keep her eye on over Marc Donovan’s course on Sunday, as second placed Marilyn Little and RF Scandalous were just .4 penalty points behind them.
